Barbara Hambly (August 28, 1951 – ) is an American fantasy author.
Biography
She was natural around San Diego, California and grew up inside Montclair, California and has an older sister Mary and immature brother Ed. She went to the University of California at Riverside, earning a Masters degree within Medieval History in 1975. She spent a year inside Bordeaux, France as part of her studies. Her foremost novel to exist as published was Instance of the Dark by Del Rey in 1982.
She has been, at various days, the high-high teacher, the model, the waitress, the technical indicator editor, an tons-nightlong liquor store clerk, & the karate teacher.
Her interests include terpsichore, painting, historical & fantasy costuming, & cold. She holds the black belt around Shotokan Karate.
She was married to George Alec Effinger in the last years of his life.
